The Key Is Aqui II! Vibroplex Code Warrior Jr.

I have been contemplating a small portable key to go with my Yaesu FT-857D.  I wasn’t really looking for a Vibroplex, however when I saw this little key it looked like it might fit the bill.

The Vibroplex Code Warrior Jr. is actually the factory production version of the K8FF key. This key weighs about 1.5 lbs and comes standard with magnetic return (no springs). It is equipped with thick clear lexan finger pieces.

Nicely machined brass parts with black powder coated steel base. Note the knurled adjustment knobs:

Here are a few pix comparing the Vibroplex CW Junior and the K8RA P2:

I admit to not being the biggest fan of Vibroplex, however this is a nice key. I was able to get it “dialed in” pretty quickly. Although it is fairly light weight if you are used to a large key, it hasn’t yet had the tendency to be slapped around on the desk.

Now to get it out in the field and see how it does.

The Code Warrior Jr. has an MSRP of $109.95.
